The sensors capture the full scene, while the image processors work in real time to reduce noise and optimise colours. The main processor then stitches the images from both sensors, processes them, and applies stabilisation for smooth, high-quality footage.

The Insta360 X6 can record native 8K 360° video at 50 fps, delivering highly detailed and sharp imagery.

It also features AdaptiveTone 2.0 technology, which analyses the entire lighting of a scene to preserve detail in both highlights and shadows. The result is richer colours and a more balanced, true-to-life image.

Enhanced PureVideo

The X6 includes two new ambient light sensors that help minimise flickering when recording under different light sources. Combined with hardware and software improvements, they deliver better results in challenging conditions such as night scenes, star timelapses, or recordings by firelight.

The camera also automatically corrects skin tones for more natural portraits, producing ready-to-use images with no additional editing required.

Professional Colour Grading: Better Post-Production Support

I-Log mode extends the range of information captured in highlights and shadows, preserving more detail to facilitate post-production editing.

The Insta360 X6 is also the first 360° camera with native Dolby Vision support. This technology uses dynamic metadata to analyse each frame and automatically adjust contrast and brightness, delivering more realistic images straight from the camera.

Pocket Gimbal Camera (optional selfie stick): The improved InstaFrame 2.0 automatically tracks people, objects, or pets and exports 4K videos directly from the camera. Combined with the foldable selfie stick, it allows framing without a traditional gimbal. The accessory folds down to 15 cm for easy transport.

Xtreme Battery: Built for the Challenge

The Insta360 X6 features a 2600 mAh Xtreme battery capable of recording 360° video in 8K at 30 fps for up to 140 minutes — a 51% improvement over the X5.

It also supports fast charging, going from 0% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes.

Star-Ridge Cooling Technology

More compact design and better thermal management: Despite its small size, the X6 incorporates a more efficient cooling system thanks to Insta360's patented Star-Ridge technology. This system distributes heat generated by internal components to improve thermal dissipation.

Cooling efficiency is 10% higher than other 360° cameras, while the grip areas incorporate insulating materials for greater comfort during use.

Thanks to this technology, the camera can record 360° video in 8K at 30 fps for extended periods without overheating issues.

Upgraded Professional Audio

The X6 features 360° microphones with wind protection to capture immersive sound and reduce wind interference.

It also integrates a separate internal microphone using solid conduction to record sound, specifically optimised for more accurately capturing engine noise and electric vehicle sounds.

The camera also automatically detects the recording environment and selects the most suitable audio profile for each situation, eliminating the need for manual configuration.

Wireless Microphone Connectivity

The Insta360 Mic series can connect directly to the camera, allowing up to two Mic Air or Mic Pro transmitters to record two people simultaneously (accessories sold separately).

Insta360's Own AI Model for 360° Video

Insta360 has developed APEV (Auto Pano Editing for Video), an artificial intelligence model created specifically for 360° video editing.

It was trained using over 10,000 hours of footage across different categories — travel, sports, motorcycling, cycling, and everyday scenes — covering more than 30 types of situations.

As a result, APEV can identify the most relevant moments in a video, apply virtual camera movements, and improve the final edit.

Automatic editing with APEV: While the camera is charging, APEV can automatically analyse and edit recordings. Once complete, the video is sent to the Insta360 app via a notification so it can be shared directly or edited further.

One-tap editing: Simply select one or more videos in the app. The AI automatically handles composition, camera movements, cuts, music, and transitions to produce a finished video in minutes.

FlashCut Templates: The Insta360 app includes creative FlashCut templates. Just choose one, follow the instructions, and export — making content creation easy even for users with no editing experience.

Insta360+ Cloud Service

Automatic backup: Automatically saves files to the cloud and makes them accessible from different devices. It can also delete files from the SD card after backup to free up space.

Quick content sharing: Easily share videos via customisable links and send one or more clips to others with ease.
