Scuba Force SF2 CCR Complete

It all started with a vision that turned into a mission; now, it has become a reality. The SF2 ECCR is a unique rebreather that is simple to operate and control and is highly compact. Its development took several years and countless test dives, resulting in a rebreather with no parallel.

While it can be used for recreational diving, it was primarily designed for technical diving, focusing on redundancy and control. The SF2 ECCR provides at least one response option for every possible issue, and the diver controls the rebreather.

During its development, the diver deliberately uses optional technical equipment, knowing that less is often more in technical diving.

The essential components are of the highest quality, down to the smallest detail. The SF2 ECCR has a Scuba Force HUD, Shearwater controllers, real carbon tubes, Fischer connectors of the latest generation, coax cables with gold-plated SMB connectors, and CNC precision parts made in Germany.

Apart from Shearwater, 99% of the parts come from Germany, where the SF2 ECCR is manufactured. This ensures that every unit meets the highest manufacturing and quality requirements.

Electronic chamber
The electronic chamber is the main component of the SF2. It houses the O2 sensors, oxygen magnet, and battery compartment. The control board is located below the battery compartment and is fully enclosed. The O2 sensors are kept in a separate chamber to safeguard them from moisture. The board is linked to the sensors via high-quality cables and SMB angle plugs.

Scubber
The canister has a capacity of 2.2 kg and an axial design. As with the sensors, the positioning also plays a decisive role in the canister. There is a distance of about 5 mm between the canister and the outer carbon tube, so there is no direct contact with cold water. Temperature is another decisive factor for the efficient use of lime. The gas flow is added in as support. Warm exhalation air flows around the sorb canister and is thus heated. Small details make a big difference!

Counterlung
The SF2 ECCR counterlung is protected by the lower carbon tube. This means that the counterlung is located inside and is not at risk of being damaged, even if the diver passes through the tightest restrictions in a cave or is inside a wreck. The SF2 ECCR provides excellent breathing comfort. The WOB tests of the CE certification are very rigorous and demanding, but the SF2 ECCR has passed all of them with, regardless of the diver’s position. These tests were conducted in Germany by DEKRA. The streamlined structure of the SF2 ECCR is due to the internal counterlung. The lower the water resistance, the more comfortable the diving experience is, a factor that is appreciated by all divers, not just technical divers.

Safety and Comfort:
The SF2 ECCR comes equipped with four shut-off valves, which include overpressure valves, and three Quick Disconnects. The Quick Disconnects are a convenient addition that users will quickly come to appreciate. Hose connections can be easily loosened, but they are secured during operation, making it impossible for them to come loose unintentionally. The shut-off valves are advantageous in that each gas path can be locked separately without hampering other functions. This allows the diver to stay on the device while ensuring their safety.

Manual Add & Offboard Gas Kits
The SF2 ECCR has separated the manual controls into oxygen and diluent for intuitive operation even in stressful situations. Important redundancy factor is the ability to feed external gas via the Manual Adds.

When an external gas source is connected, the SF2 ECCR retains its complete functionality, with the solenoid valve and the ADV still in “automatic mode.” The SF2 ECCR has two manual add-ons, which offer redundancy against each other in extreme situations. SAFETY AND COMFORT!

Head Up Display
The SCUBA FORCE HUD is a compact and robust head-up display. It features 3 LED lights that display PP02 and oxygen cell status. The holder can be attached to any breathing set, and both the battery and electronics are housed in the case. The HUD has a SAFT 14500 that can be easily exchanged via a Fischer socket, and it can be connected to any rebreather with Fischer cables. The case has two fastening slots and is operated via a piezo switch.
