The Garmin inReach Messenger Plus is a satellite SOS communication device designed to help you talk, show, and share when your adventures take you beyond mobile coverage.

With an active inReach subscription, it lets you exchange two-way text messages, photos, and 30‑second voice messages, so you can keep in touch from remote locations. It’s built for the outdoors with a durable design for extreme temperatures and a battery that can last for weeks.

It uses the Iridium® satellite network for global coverage and supports interactive SOS messaging to Garmin Response™, Garmin’s 24/7 international coordination center, sending your GPS coordinates when you need help. You can also share your GPS location and route via real-time tracking, and include your coordinates in text, photo, or voice messages.

The device pairs with the Garmin Messenger™ smartphone app for group messaging and enhanced communication features, and it works seamlessly by using Wi‑Fi® or your phone’s mobile connection when available, then automatically switching to satellite when you’re out of range. It also includes TracBack® routing, inReach weather forecasts, and can even act as a power bank to charge your phone when needed.
